Facial Pre-Care

A facial is an essential skin treatment to take care of your skin on a regular basis. It's not only relaxing & rejuvenating for your face it's also soothing for your mind.

Facials deeply exfoliate your skin to clear all the debris that’s been lingering on your face. It decreases puffiness and fluid build up that comes from lymphatic system. Facials also increase circulation in your face and helps slow down the aging process.

It's ideal to get facial every 4 weeks however 5-6 weeks is great too. But just getting a facial is not enough. You've got to take care of your skin post facial.

Here are some tips on how to prep your skin for a facial -

  • Wash your face gently so you arrive with clean skin. If you don’t it’s okay, I always double cleanse in all facials.
  • Stay out of prolonged sun exposure 24-48 hours prior to your facial.
  • Ensure you are not sunburnt on arrival
  • Continue with your normal morning skincare routine, except for masks, active ingredients,  peels, or deep exfoliation.
  • It's fine to cleanse, moisturise and use sunscreen, but skip any of these other treatments such as these up to four days prior to your facial may interact negatively with your facial.
  • Avoid getting waxed , shaving 24-48 hours prior to your facial.
  • Avoid lasering the area for a week prior to a facial. Some laser clinics will recommend up 2 weeks even. Please double check with them.
  • Double check with your botox and filler therapist when it’s recommended to have a facial before / after as different providers state different things.

Note - It is your responsibility to let me know of any medical conditions and medical  changes. Including medication etc.
